Florida Summer Golf Schools

It's very hot in Florida in the summer. A six hour instruction day can be long and draining. If you are up for it, great. We offer our full length schools during the summer. But if you want to beat the heat with a shorter school day, the Mini Schools are for you. Instead of a full six hour day, Mini Schools are three hours of daily instruction, typically 9am to noon.

How to Schedule a School

For the months of July, August and September we do not provide a full class schedule in Florida. The summer is the off season in Florida and it's hot. The number of people interested in golf school in summer is drastically less than our busy season, January through May.

So instead of making a schedule, you pick your own dates. Here's how it works.

  1. You pick the type of school you want - full length school, mini school or private lessons.
  2. You pick the dates you want to attend.
  3. Contact us and we schedule the school for you.

To schedule a school, you must have at least 2 participants to book a date. If you're looking for one-on-one instruction, check out our private golf lessons. Seven days notice is required to book a school, so we can schedule an instructor to teach it.

Customize Your School

Some of the à la carte options you can add to summer schools.

  • Add a round of golf at Cypress Creek on your arrival day or after your school ends.
  • For commuter full packages or mini schools, let us book the lodging at either of our lodging partner locations - The Resort & Club at Little Harbor or the Comfort Inn. The rates provided to our students by our lodging partners are greatly reduced if you book through Ben Sutton.

If you're interested in these or other customization options, do not hesitate to contact us.

What's different with summer schools?

Summer schools differ from schools held during the rest of the year in the following ways:

  • Full length schools are available as commuter only. No dinners are included with the summer school packages. Because it is the off season, dinner hours at the country club are reduced. And the number of students attending each school is smaller as well. Rather than scrambling to accommodate dinners each night of a school, we chose to leave it up to you for dinner. Plus there are several restaurants in the area to serve you.

  • No arrival day golf. Again, due to the heat, a lot of folks do not want to golf on arrival day. Most choose to save their swings for the instruction day.
