Most every golfer has a better driving range game than a golf course game. There is a big difference between keeping your shot in the fairway and keeping it on the range. Hitting fairways, learning to pitch and chip and making putts is critical. Unfortunately, you will never learn this on the driving range.

- I am a beginner, is golf school right for me?
For personal, family or business reasons, you have decided to take up golf, but don't know how to get started or perhaps your first attempt was unsuccessful. Don't despair, Ben Sutton can help. You'll learn the basics of grip, posture, alignment to target, good impact position and follow through. Rental clubs are available at the school if you don't have a set to bring with you.

- How old do I have to be to attend Ben Sutton?
We instruct teenagers and adults from age 13 and up. Families, couples and singles are all welcome to attend.

We have two convenient locations, Sun City Center, Florida and Windham, New York.

- What are the dates and rates for a 2, 3, 4 and 6-day golf school?
Sessions are offered year round at Sun City Center, Florida and May through September at Windham, New York. Dates and rates are posted for each length of school and may be viewed by clicking on the desired school from the schools drop menu in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Below each school description there is a link that will take you to the dates and rates information.

- What are the rates for private lessons?
1 Hour - $150
3 Hour - $375 (Bring a friend for $125 extra)
6 Hour - $595 (Bring a friend for $250 extra)
Private lessons are subject to professional availability. Private Lesson cost includes: One-on-one instruction (bring a friend is with the same professional), Ben Sutton Golf School Instruction Manual, Pre-Shot Set-Up and Alignment Tool, V1 Swing Analysis, Personalized CD of Instruction, Take Home Practice Plan, Real Conditions and Situations Instruction and the option for On Course Playing Lessons (3 and 6 hour sessions only.)

- What if it rains?
The staff doesn't like to get wet anymore than the students. If it rains hard or lightening is in the area you can bet that everyone will be under cover. Rain Checks are issued for instruction not received because of weather.

- What is your payment / deposit, changes and cancellation policy?
Deposits and subsequent payments are payable with American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit cards in US FUNDS ONLY.
Registration Deposit - $250.00 per person
Balance Due - Remaining balances for Florida golf schools are due 1 week before the start of the session. Balances for New York golf schools are due upon arrival at the school.
Cancellation - Please notify the main office at least 24 hours before the start of your session to cancel or place your reservation on hold. A full refund of the deposit and any payments will be issued.
No Show - Failure to show for your session will result in the forfeiture of all deposits and payments.

- What accommodations does the school have?

Students stay at the Comfort Inn which is a few miles from teaching facility. Learn more about the Comfort Inn. Pets are not allowed in the rooms.
Windham, New York
Students stay on-site at the Christman's Windham House Inn or 1 of 5 surrounding colonial style buildings. Visit WindhamHouse.com to see the rooms. Pets are not allowed in the rooms.

- What golf playing privileges are available to golf school students?
Sun City Center, Florida
All school students have playing privileges on the 27-hole Sandpiper Course on the day they arrive and after class each day. Tee times are subject to availability.
Windham, New York
All students have playing privileges on the 18-hole Championship Mountain Course or the beginner friendly 9-hole Valley Course on the day they arrive and after class each day. An outdoor swimming pool and fast-dry tennis court are also among the guest facilities.

- Are country club privileges included if I am staying additional nights?
Green fees and cart fees for additional days are not covered in the price but we would be happy to help arrange a tee time for you on one of the local courses.

- What airport should I fly into to get to your school?
Sun City Center, Florida
Most students fly into Tampa International Airport. But, depending on airfare, you may choose another. Here are links to the airports closest to Ben Sutton Golf School. Most airlines fly into these airports. Complimentary ground transportation is provided between the Tampa International Airport and Sun City Center Inn and may be arranged by submitting your flight information. This service is only available to resident students.

- Do I need to rent a car?
Sun City Center, Florida
Campus shuttle transportation is provided around the school grounds. You will need a rental car if you plan on doing any activities not associated with the school. There is no public transportation in Sun City Center, Florida. All of the airports serving Ben Sutton Golf School have major car rental companies available. If you decide you need a car after arriving at the school, there is an Enterprise, telephone number (813) 642-9267, in Ruskin. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and closed on Sunday.

Once you arrive at the school you will not need a car. The facilities are within walking distance from where you will be staying. It's 200 yards from the furthest room.

- What is the dress code at the school?
Typical golf attire is required on the instruction facilities as well as on the golf courses at the Florida and New York locations. Pants or shorts for men and women. Men are required to wear collared shirts. Women's sleeveless shirts must have a collar, but women's shirts with sleeves do not need a collar. Dinner attire is casual dress. No tee shirts or hats may be worn in the dining room.

- What time should I arrive at the golf school?
Sun City Center, Florida
Students may check in at the school building between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Rooms at the Comfort Inn are ready at 2:00 pm. You are welcome to use our training facility, or a member of the staff can get you on the Sandpiper Golf Course to play. Instruction begins on the following morning.
Windham, New York
Students may check in at the front desk at the Christman's Windham House Inn between 10:00 am and 5:30 pm. Rooms are ready at 3:00 pm. If you arrive before your room is ready you are welcome to use our training facility, or a member of the staff can get you on the Mountain or Valley course to play. Instruction begins on the following morning.

- If I don't have golf clubs can I rent them at the school?
Right and left-handed Callaway rental sets are available at the school. The 6-day club rental rate is $150, the 4-day club rental rate is $100, the 3-day club rental rate is $75 and the 2-day club rental rate is $50.
Rental sets are the Callaway Big Bertha's. The men's clubs have graphite regular flex shafts in the woods and steel shafts in the irons. The women's clubs have graphite shafts and are ladies flex. Please let us know in advance if you need to rent clubs so we may have them ready when you arrive.
