Golf School Testimonials & Reviews

Hi Phil (Krick) -

I was one of your students this spring - was with Earl and Crady. Anyway, you asked me to give you an update on my progress. So far, very pleased - it has been a process, but I have steadily increased my percentage of good shots. Reduced my index from 17.9 to 15.4. Hitting driver much farther - good hit used to be 230, now regularly 250 and 280 with a tailwind. I also shot a 39 for 9 holes for only the second time in my life. Finally, I won my flight in a stroke play tournament - have won match play events before, but never in a stroke play event. A lot of this is thanks to your instruction - main thing I remember is to start my swing from the ground up and skip a stone. Don't do it every time, but doing it more and more often. So thanks again - hope to see you next spring again and continue to improve my game. - Bob

Had a great time. Staff was fantastic. Sunday dinner & lunches excellent.

Not ready for the senior tour yet :) but I can go home and practice what I learned and have fun instead of being frustrated.

Instructor John Del Monte is superb in his style of teaching. On each station he would explain the shots, then show how each shot was done. He is patient with each student. I learned so much in the last 4 days.

I hope to be back next year. I will tell all my friends about Ben Sutton Golf School and to ask for John Del Monte.

Judy was just what I needed...low key, calm - able to make it sound simple & something I could remember. All of the staff went over & above to make our time pleasant & fun. Thanks for giving me the confidence to enjoy the game.

Loved Dave Bishop! He kept things simple, but gave enough info. A very excellent instructor & such a delightful person. I feel very fortunate to have met him & the entire Sutton family. It was nice to be pampered and the staff was all service oriented. Thank you.

Thank you for your expert instruction and patience during my time in gorgeous Florida. You are truly an A+ teacher.

Range report for today... hit three buckets (approximately 40 balls each). Two with all the irons with reasonable results... One with only the driver with results close to equaling our last day.. UNBELIEVABLE!! Thank you so much.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Ashley (Sutton) & John (Del Monte), just a quick note of thanks to you and your team. I LOVED the time with y'all at BSGS!! I appreciate all of the kindness that you extended. I've played golf 3 times since graduating and scored 91, 87 and then a 45 for nine. BEST GOLF I'VE EVER PLAYED! Thanks again!

Rick (Sopka),

This is to let you know that because we ended early on Monday, we departed for Miami the same evening which allowed us a little more time in Miami for my wife to continue her shopping and departed for Mexico on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, my wife (Leticia) participated in a ladies tournament in our Club, securing an 87 and the first prize (41 with 5 pars in the first 9 holes and 46 with 4 pars in the second nine. Par is 72). She wanted me to thank you because she claims her new swing and short game helped her a lot. The only few bogeys (and couple of double bogeys) was because she went back to her old swing.

Best wishes for you and your family and may God bless you plentifully in 2011.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Judy Sams and her VERY personal instruction! Without doubt, I am a better golfer! I shot a 92 last week...not bad for someone who's been scoring 105-115 for the last three years! Whenever I think I'm losing it, I just play my DVD and it all comes back to me!

I attended the April 13-15 3-day school in Florida last year (2009) and haven't written back until now as I wanted to see what my results would be after attending the school and playing a season. What a difference! I dropped 7-10 strokes for an average round and made the JV golf team at my high school as a freshman. While playing with them I became a top player and even played with Varsity for one of the matches. After shooting a season low 34 for a nine hole match, I knew that the golf school had really worked! Plus, the Varsity coach and players are looking forward to me joining them for this up coming season.

I just wanted to email you and thank you for a smooth transaction and a great time at this past weekend's Windham school with Phil Krick. The Christman Windham House staff was extremely professional and caring.

Phil Krick is a straight forward, cut-to-the-point type of instructor with a great sense-of-humor and is an amazing golfer and teacher! I felt comfortable with him within the first 5 minutes. I learned more in the 2 days with Phil than I did in 3 years of playing, reading articles, and listening to tips and clubhouse talk. I am already thinking about attending the Tampa school in March or April...but it would have to be with Phil...as I was THAT pleased with his style and personality.

Thanks again for a great time.

I just wanted to report in on how happy I am that I chose your golf school for Thurs/Fri/Sat, June 11-12-13.

The accommodations were very comfortable and the personnel at the inn's restaurant, the Loft Bar (Kelly's great!) and the pro shop (Kristen and Chris...super!!) were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful.

We were so lucky with the weather. I'd been close to cancelling, based on weather reports, so I'm delighted that I ignored the forecasts for rain.

The school itself was perfect for my needs. I could not have found a nicer, more patient, more professional golf pro than Gregg Gamester. I'm sure he's helped my game tremendously and can't wait to practice what I learned. I've already reviewed my personal DVD at home!

I definitely plan to return, and I'll be requesting Gregg again, so keep him on-board, please!!!!!!!

Thanks for everything!

Phil- (Krick)

Took some of my west coast clients to Bandon Dunes last week... its three true links courses and we played them all.. 50 mile an hour wind gusts and at least 30 mph wind blowing all the time... used that knockdown shot that you taught me this spring around 70% percent of the time.. these clients are really good golfers but I was able to hold my own because I had that knockdown shot down pat and they kept struggling with the wind...

for the first time on a course, I really felt like a golfer... thanks!

3-time Ben Sutton student

I really enjoyed our 3 day golf session My instructor Phil Krick was nothing short of excellent. I found him knowledgeable and entertaining. This is my second visit to Ben Sutton. The first visit was 8 years ago when I was just beginning to play regularly. The first visit I needed more basic instruction and this time I needed a little more advanced. I like the fact that your instruction is not generic but individualized based on the caliber of the student. Your program is better than any individualized lesson I have ever taken.

I have played 10 rounds in Michigan since finishing the 3 day school. All rounds have been between 80 & 90 and handicap is already down a stroke and a half (playing in 40-50 degree weather ). I played the same ball for 77 straight holes at one point. Kudos to Phil and your program, I believe he tamed my wildness.

Jan Kleiman was very accomodating during the 3 days of instruction. She was always prepared to assist us with any or our needs. My instuctor, John Delmonte was more than anyone could expect from an instructor. He knows the game forward and backward and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Our class of 5 students was very different and John was able to help us all. When I return, I hope he is still with you as I will request him as my instructor again. considered going to Golftec prior to choosing Ben Sutton and I have absolutly no regrets. Your school gave me much more than I anticipated. I can't wait to return. I just hope nothing happens to the Sun City Center Facility. It has to be one of the best practice and training facilities in the country. Thanks for a great 3 days!

Vast improvement in ball-striking--thus-far!! (thanks to Denny Knight). Keeping the ball-striking simple with the key tips you gave me for my swing. Thanks again.

Judy (Sams),

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what has happened since seeing you for the 3 day school at the beginning of July. After the last day of school, I played nine holes with Dave and Scott and shot a 2-under 34. It was the most relaxed 9 holes I think I have ever played. Since that day, I have played 5 times and my handicap has gone from a 4.9 at the start of golf school to a 3.4 just three weeks later!

I am grateful for the time you spent with me to work on the areas that needed help, specifically, position at impact and holding it a bit longer, and knock down shots. I have played much more consistent golf lately, especially coming down the last holes of a round, and I know that I have you to thank for that. In the days after the school, I was wishing that I had come for more than a 3-day school. I guess I will just have to come back for another school sometime.

You are a fantastic instructor to work with on improving the golf swing. You do a great job of explaining, in many different ways, how certain aspects of the swing should feel and look so that everyone understands completely. I felt like I had the perfect amount of instruction followed by just the right amount of time to practice and process the information for myself.

Thanks again for your patience, time, and effort. It was greatly appreciated and left me knowing that if there is another golf school in my future, there is only one place and one instructor that I will consider. Hope this finds you well, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I just found some time to get back to advise you of the great time in Windham.

When registering for the course, I spoke with Mike Dettling and he kept me informed as to the course, location and all the necessary things that would be part of the process.

The first person that I met from the "school" was Ashley who cheerfully welcomed both myself and my wife to the area. Her smile and enthusiasm certainly set the mood for a great week.

I was fortunate enough to have Rick "the wrecker" Sopka as my instructor. I call him the "wrecker" as he completely wrecked my golf swing or facsimile of a golf "chicken wing" swing. I now can say, that I have a greater appreciation of what a golf swing should look and feel like - thanks to "the wrecker". The course structure and evolution of the golf swing components and the drills were the added value that will be easy to remember.

Since returning to Canada, I have purchased a camcoder and the home version of V1Golf. This purchase will ensure that what was taught, will not go astray.

Your school and advertising are accurate and as a client, I got my full measure for my money. I now have to spend some time getting rid of the extra weight I gained at the Christmans accommodations.

Again let me thank you and your staff for a pleasant learning experience. As General MacArthur stated when he was leaving the Philippines - "I shall return".

Short note to say that Golf School was terrific; John Delmonte is a thorough and insightful instructor; the staff great; and the experience greatly exceeded my expectations. Sorry I did not have time for 3 days.

I would love to come back with friends next year.

Morrie and I played our course with another couple. I got myself "ready" the night before and morning. We teed off at 1 and promptly got an 8 and 9 (it was shot gun so we started off on eight and nine- first was a par 5 and the second is our #1 handicap hole..so you are saying "so?") Anyway from there it was great. I was playing one, two or maybe three over par..with two pars along the way and only one 9. My putting was my weakest part of the game. My drives are longer and straighter so I need to readjust my clubs. My chipping and pitching were up in the air..finally ..but too strong, again. If I am going right would you say that my club face was not square or I am not coming straight across? I thought I was lined up. My husband could not believe it how well I did. I think he thought it was the best money he spent since our wedding ring!! (Yes..I am not always a pain in the b tt!!) Now he wants to come to school. So..I think I am on my way to more positive golf with some real fundamentals to work on and I have gained so much confidence. As my husband said yesterday "See, now you know you can hit a golf ball!". SO..I know you get lots of positive responses after returning from the great golf school experience but probably never tire of it either. I so enjoyed it all. I miss the sirens!

My son Nick and I attended the golf school in March 2008. I am contacting you and want to contact our instructor Phil Krick to thank you and Phil and also to share with you Nick's success. Nick has been in the top 10 in most of the events played with his high school. He tied for first in one event and most recently was the medalist in the district tournament shooting a 4 under par 68. Nick and the team Flint Powers Catholic high school are competing in the State finals this Friday and Saturday (June 6 & 7, 2008) at Forest acres in Lansing Michigan. We are hoping to bring home a state title. Thank you for having a great school and for bringing excellent instructors to teach. Keep up the good work. Please forward this to Phil and send me Phil's e-mail.

Thank you.
